Original schedule of IPL 2021 was 9 April to 30 may 2021 but due to Covid-19 IPL was stopped in between. Now it like to be held in UAE in September to October.
IPL 2021 was started in 9 Arpil 2021. The 1st match in between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore ( RCB) which won by RCB . In 2 may 2021 , last match played in between Punjab Kings and Delhi capitals which won by Delhi capitals. Till 2 may IPL is going in smooth way. This year RCB is doing great, RCB in top four and Chennai super Kings ( CSK) also get back is form which it lose in last year IPL 2020 which held in UAE. CSK is also in top four in point table. Mumbai Indians also doing same thing which they do in every IPL season and Mumbai Indians also in top four. Then in 3rd may 2021 2 player of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which are Varun Chakravarthy and sandeep had covid-19 positive and match between RCB and KKR had been postponed and then next day in 4th may 2021,CSK members were covid-19 positive and also in 4th may officially IPL 2021 was postponed which we know as IPL phase - 1. Till now 28 match had happened and 31 match are remaining.
In between phase-1 and phase -2 , BCCI try to contact many other borad for to held remaining IPL in their country and some country also offered to hosting remaining IPL in their country like Sri lanka and UAE . In This time mostly people want IPL phase - 2 held in England because Indian player and England players are already in England and in bio-bubble and it also give more time to IPL phase-2 so BCCI talk to ECB ( England cricket board) but this not happen , ECB denied because they upcoming project THE HUNDRED and TEST SERIES which is the main source of income of ECB.
Now Remaining IPL will held in UAE in 19 -20 September to 9- 10 October. Which gives window if 20 days before T20 world which is also hosted by India ( BCCI). So Till now the new fixture is like to be , daily 2 match will be happen and last 3 days for Qualifier and Final match. BCCI is likely to make the announcement on May 29 when the members assemble for a special general meeting.
