Fatty liver is one of the most common problem now a days. This issue is exacerbated by the aggregation of fat from food in the liver. Fatty liver also increases the risk of various hormonal diseases such as diabetes and thyroid. If you are not careful from the beginning, this disease can cause great damage to the liver. So be careful! Learn all about the fatty liver disease

Fatty liver is a common condition that occurs due to the accumulation of excess fat in your liver. This problem occurs when fat reaches 5 to 10 percent of your liver weight. The liver does all the work to keep the body healthy. Such as making protein for the body, supplying bile for digestion, converting nutrients into energy. Not only this, with the help of the liver the immune system builds up and helps fight infections by removing bacteria and toxins from the blood. So, you are not unknowingly suffering from fatty liver?

Causes of fatty liver disease

Our liver can normally absorb five to six percent fat. It is dangerous to accumulate more fat than this. If not treated in time, cirrhosis of the liver can also strike. However, obesity or overweight can be caused by type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome.

What are the symptoms of fatty liver?

People with fatty liver disease do not have any special symptoms. But when the disease starts to progress towards cirrhosis, it becomes very important to identify its symptoms. See what the symptoms are ...

1. Fat is accumulating on the face, and getting tired of it frequently? Be careful if extra fatigue comes with a little effort.

2. Abdominal pain or full sensation in the upper right part of the abdomen.

3. Swelling of the abdomen and legs.

4. Excessive fatigue or mental confusion.

5. Feeling weak.

6.Be aware as soon as the belly starts to grow.

7.If the belly grows at any age, get a fatty liver test beforehand.

8. If the color of the urine is yellow and there is excessive odor even after drinking water as per the requirement of the body, get the fatty liver tested.

9. Addiction to sweet foods can lead to fatty liver problems.

Treatment

The treatment of fatty liver consists mainly of losing weight and increasing physical activity. Obesity and being overweight, the main risk factors, are modifiable through lifestyle changes. Other recommendations include avoiding alcohol consumption and taking unnecessary medications. In those people who are in more advanced stages of the disease (severe liver inflammation or fibrosis), some medications that can help, such as antioxidants (vitamin E) or insulin-sensitizing agents, may be used.

Complications

Up to 10% of patients with fatty liver associated with alcoholic cirrhosis will develop hepatocellular carcinoma. The overall incidence of liver cancer in individuals with NAFLD has not yet been quantified, but the association is well established.

What to do to prevent fatty liver?

Avoid alcohol.

Lose weight.

Take diabetes control medications.
