When I was brainstorming on what concept to write on, I had a list of thoughts ranging from movies, art, hobbies to everyday life. I decided to write this blog to reach out to people who are sailing in a similar boat. You will get to see what I am talking about shortly.
I am a person who is suffering from anxiety attacks and depression which sometimes might prompt me to fall away from the right track. The anxiety started from school days where we expected to grow confident and initiate a path into reality. And school life can be such a letdown for some of us.
I am now working, a part of a so-called reality that might not welcome anxiety and our emotions. I know that I have to do something to better handle myself there.
At work, my primary goal is to complete my tasks and to stay calm. I put my effort and time and try my best to proceed further. Even though demanding work and calls can make me anxious, I have found some techniques to keep calm. My ultimate goal is to keep myself productive and to take timely rest.
Make use of the timer in the alarm app based on the devices you sit with.
Allocate time for each to-do from the list. As for me, I dedicate time to each activity of interest and work accordingly, like 1 hour for art, 30 minutes for exercise, 10 min for yoga, 1 hour for blogging, 5 hours for work and so on.
Indulge in offline or online journals like Penzu https://penzu.com/.
Recording your everyday routine as you go along might help to refresh, release the burden. You can as well look back on later.
I am recording my life from high school days even though it took me few years to get regular. Now I look back, relax, record as and when I get the time and reduce the burden in my head.
I am sure many of you have come across suggestions of maintaining an excel sheet for various things at school, college and the workplace. It indeed helps with time, financial and career management.
It takes about 5 minutes for me to update the sheet every day. Initially, it was tough to record and over time, I got a push to pursue it and soon became useful as much as a journal.
Do you love to read books and drown in the visualization and characters? Yes? Some of you say, No? For both people divided on yes and no, this is another comforting step you can take up to reduce the anxiety.
But what if I tell you that a maximum of 7 pages per day is enough. If you bring yourself to do this, you can divide your time for other activities and enjoy yourself every day.
Kindly consider the above tools to make you comfortable and spend some time on them every day to channelize yourself and deal with the Anxiety in the best way possible.
You won't need them all your life and they are to make you consistent, better and productive. H
