People who only think that its always okay to avoid hard work and do smart work is not always right. Its true that sometimes we have to put in hard work and sacrifice.  

But with hard work always comes the satisfaction that you did everything you could do and eventually it will pay off

What is Hard Work?

Hard work is defined as 'laborious effort and perseverance', which is something that will always pay off.  In other words, it's any activity that will lead to real results (in contrast to smart work).

The hardest part about defining hard work is defining smart work . Smart work is simply an activity you do because you enjoy it. If you've ever played a real sport, you know how fun it is to be inside the zone, or simply how much freedom and satisfaction basketball/volleyball/football gives you.

But people sometimes confuse hard work with smart work.  For all of those people who enjoy what they are doing but are not seeing real results, it's time to wake up. If you're not seeing results on your own time, then you need to shift gears towards hard work and sacrifice. Why? Because hard work is the only way you will get real results.

What's the difference between smart and hard work?

• Smart Work:  You act out of your own enjoyment or convenience.  For instance, "I like to sleep in on Saturdays so I go to class late," or "I don't really want to study so I'll just take a nap rather than watch a lecture."  

• Hard Work:  You put in hours of work without enjoying what you're doing

However, its not stupid to work smartly time to time, but hard work always pay you off. It can take time, it will take time, but in the end when you have achieved what you want, you are standing there holding the trophy of your rewards, you will be proud of you.
