What Should We Eat In Summer?
As we all know summer season is the hottest season in India. In May and June summer on its peak.
so not everyone likes to go outside of their home and just live in bed under the fan. But just lies in bed & live-in home is not possible all day for everyone. people have to go outside for work and the summer heat affects the body & creates many problems. like
- In extreme heat, our body can't get cool enough & we also may be tired, weak, lightheaded, and nauseated, and have a headache.
- when our skin pores get blocked in hot humid weather then we break out tiny red bumps mostly in joints like elbows, neck, etc.
- If we spend more time in the sun then our skin burns or it may get reddish, itchy, feels like skin allergies.
- In presence of high heat our heart beating faster and pumping more blood than average to our skin. It could make us feel tired & sluggish if we tried some physical or mental work.
What should we do in summer?
- Keep hydrated
- don't go outside, stay indoors
- Avoid hot & junk food like samosa
- Drink plenty of water as maximum possible
Food that must eat in summer to stay healthy
- Watermelon- It contains 91.45% water. which fulfill our body water requirement. It is not much costly than compared to other food. So it affordable for everyone.
- Lemon water- lemon water is very beneficial in the summer season. It not just cool our body with this it boosts our immunity because it contains vitamin C.
- Mint- It is a special herb that helps in cooling down our body temp. we can add it with curd, lemon water, chutney also.
- Fresh juice- we can drink fresh juice like mango juice, sugarcane juice, etc., and avoid cold drinks.
As cereals, we will know which cereal cool our body must be high in summer. because all cereals don't give a cooling effect on our body.
Rice- Rice contains the highest water content among cereal and it's easy to digest we can eat it by making poha, use in khichdi, etc.
Barley- Barley is rich in phosphorus, calcium, and iron. we can eat it by boiling the granules otherwise we can make the barley powder and mix it with wheat flour and make chapattis.
Moong-Moong is rich in several minerals it is easy to digestible. and it has cooling properties. we can eat sprouted moong which full of protein, or we can make moong dal.
Black chana- we can leave it overnight in water and then eat it. which gives us many health benefits or we can boil it for eating.
