Hlo friends according to blog name today we discussed some of nutraceutical properties.

The term "nutraceuticals" is a combination of "nutrition" and "pharmaceutical", which refers to nutrition derived from natural foods to prevent, manage or treat diseases. Functional foods are health-beneficial foods in their raw or cooked form. are substances and are not necessarily consumed as dietary supplements.

  1. Lycopene: Found in tomatoes, pink grapes, guava, papaya, and watermelon. The lycopene contained in fruits and vegetables exerts cancer-protective effects through reduction of oxidative and other damage to DNA.

Saponins are phytochemicals that can be found in peas, soybeans, spinach, tomatoes, potatoes, alfalfa and clover. Saponins can boost the immune system and can also help lower cholesterol levels
  5. Ellagic Acid: Found in the seeds of strawberries, cranberries, walnuts, pecans, pomegranates, and the best source, red raspberries. It is also found in peaches and pomegranates. Ellagic acid and resveratrol are two important components to reduce the risk of cancer and coronary heart diseases. It can prevent various infections and help your body to detoxify naturally.
