Applicants who are awaiting their exam can register for a driver's license at any driving training school, according to the Centre. Driving License applicants can now obtain the certificate at regional transport offices without taking a driving test or going through the application process . The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been announced   new driving license rules that will take effect on July 1st.  The candidates must complete authorized driving training and pass a test at any recognized training school. The entire process of getting a Learner's License, from application to printing, will now be done online, according to new criteria for issuing and renewing driving licenses. Medical certificates, learner's licences, surrender of driver's licences and renewal of driving licences can all be done with electronic certificates and paperwork. Citizens will be relieved of the burden of compliance, allowing them to access these services in a hassle and contact-free manner. This will also minimize th traffic in RTO offices, resulting in increased efficiency.

NEW RULES:

1. The driving schools will be equipped with simulators and a test track for instruction for license applicants.
2. Additionally, the driving course for a light motor vehicle will be 24 hrs long and last four weeks from the start date. The training will be separated into theory and practical sections, which applicants should be aware of.
3. The duration of medium and heavy motor vehicle driving courses in training centres is 38 hours or six weeks.
4. Applicants will also learn some basic ethical and courteous behavior with others on the road  during the training process.
5. The driving schools will not only focus on light, medium and heavy motors vehicles, but will also provide candidates with industry specific specialized instructions.
6. This comprehensive training course will help to explain why there aren't enough experienced driver's on the road.
7. Meanwhile, the certification issued to driving schools or centres will be valid for 5   years before being renewed.
8. The rules from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways are designed to make the process of registering new automobiles easier. The registration certificate can now be renewed 60 days ahead of time. The temporary registration of licences time restriction has also been expanded from one month to six months.

Due to a lack of sufficient knowledge and aptitude, which is regarded a major concern on the roads , the ministry has altered the rule. In addition, a huge number of road accidents occur across the country as a result of such concerns. On the highways, we need only skilled and trained personnel who are aware of the rules and are cautious.- an official added.
