This is the third and last blog of my child rights series. Hope you all like my previous part… it is a continuation part of the previous blog. Today I will discuss Why child rights is a major concern in India and what to do for give protection and care to children.
Child rights, child protection from abuse and exploitation (Street children, child labour, trafficking and so on) in India are inextricably tied to low socio economic situations in a vast population base. A question arise every time, whose responsibility is it to ensure that every child access to a safe, protective and caring environment?
Survival is the most important child rights includes early childhood health care, nutrition, education, development and child safety. Parents, those who are illiterate are unaware of their children's rights. They must be educated about the rights of the children and they must demand and fight for them. It is critical to assign duty and accountability to the government, elected officials, policymakers, the local community, and families through education and empowerment.
In any situation, a child should not suffer because his or her parents are unable to take care for and protect him or her. A huge number of Non governmental organizations(NGOs engage in the field of child care and protection. However, due to the large number of children in need of protection, their efforts will only have a minor influence. They should, however, coordinate their child welfare efforts and collaborate.
Over the years, the Indian government implemented progressive policies legislation and programs to improve the well being of India's children. 👶👧👦The Integrated child development scheme (ICDS) and Child Line services are two world's largest programs that help children develop and be protected in India.
Despite all attempts, however, the position of children and child rights in India is dire and far from satisfactory. Poverty is the most pressing issue that must be addressed. A child's well being is dependant on his or her having caring and protecting familial setting. This has the potential to transform the lives of millions of children 👶👧👦by ensuring their survival, protection, growth and development. Hope India will take adequate steps to eradicate the violation of child rights and provide a happy and beautiful life to every children in India.
