Hello and welcome back to my blog. I hope your week started well and you are doing great. so today I would like to talk about yet another controversial term "PATRIARCHY". Very commonly experience but yet some of us might don't know the exact meaning of it. Here I clear its meaning now. It is a system of our society where the eldest male in the family is the head. In a layman's term a MALE DOMINATED society. This system gives importance to male opinions and decisions only without considering women's contributions. In the 21st century and still this scenario sad right but true.

Talking about witnessing it every day I have witnessed it in my own house as well as seen in other houses too. A simple example of a working woman who handles her work and also household responsibilities like cooking, taking care of children & elders, taking care of all household work. A woman manages all of these and also does her work. after coming from work she is expected to cook and do household chores why because it's a women's job to do and not men's. Men have the food ready when they come from work but when a woman comes home she has to cook and serve first and then she eats. Here if a woman is working it's her choice and not responsibility but a man works its responsibility handled. And while a woman does household chores even after working it's her responsibility and for men, it's not his responsibility. They feel men don't do all this it's only a women's role. Why can't men do if a woman can go to work and manage your house then why can't you help her in household chores.

A major thing that holds them back is the male ego that won't let them help. They have been nurtured in a way from their childhood that they think it's only a women's responsibility to cook and clean. There's very little that you men have to help in. If she is cooking help her in chopping, fill bottles, sometimes even you can do the dishes. 

We can see some improvement in this situation but yet there's a lot to change. The majority of our society is still under this trap of patriarchy.
