Why Do We Get Bored????- An Analysis

I have been watching the live discussions of doctors dealing with mind study a couple of weeks back. There was an expert who emphasized on the fact that if we do only those activities which we like to do , we would enjoy doing it more than the things that our boss impose on us to do.

I have been trying this thing even before I heard this discussion. One day i sat with my diary and started making a list of all those things that I am good at and all those things that interests me. My list was quite a big one. I was getting pissed off with the behavior of my Boss at that period of time. I was discussing with my friends and colleagues to get over this problem. But you cannot change your Boss, right?

Boss will be Boss. He will do his job. I had to find out a solution to my problem. I was very much determined to do so.

I could not leave my job because of my Boss because I had to earn money for myself and moreover that would not be a solution to my problem.

So what I did was, I started doing everything from the list after and before I went for work.

Strangely enough I could find some relief to my problem. It became easier for me to balance my life.

But I soon got bored. Now where from this boringness came, I have no clue. That is the very topic today.

I was getting bored and frustrated with my job. I tried to follow my heart and do all those things that my heart wanted to do. Even then , after few days I got bored. So I tried to understand or analyze the reason.

People might tell you to do whatever your heart wanted in order to get happy and not experience boredom.

But I found out, no matter whatever you do, at a point of time, you will definitely get bored.

If you are not getting bored, then you are not Human.

For instance when you cant afford ‘Biryani’ you get bored with 'Roti Sabzi'. You want to eat 'Biryani'. But if you are given to eat delicious ‘Biryani’ every single day of your life. You will never enjoy that, I promise.

Our mind is programmed in that way , that we are not happy to do the same thing repeatedly. That is the reason we take breaks, we gout on vacations, we might also change jobs. And trust me, that is not out fault. We are made that way. We are not computers and that is the reason we need to ventilate and bring changes in our lives.

We often find our mind getting bored and exhausted when we carry on with the same job everyday. We even misbehave with our friends and family at those times. This is not our fault. We need to patiently understand our mind.

we need to arrange our daily work in such a way that apart from the official work, we get some break, some activities to boost our mind and soul and we also have to do exercises.

Exercise is a great stress booster.

That is the reason offices nowadays keep gym arrangements, elaborate cafeteria and indoor and outdoor games provisions.

But that is for general use. If you have to calm your heart and get out of that boredom, you need to find out the activities that you personally enjoy.

But going out for vacations and eventual  short tours is a must according to your affordability. Its not about how much you spent on vacation, its about releasing your mental stress and boredom. You might also give a visit to your relatives place or friends place for relaxation .

So the bottom line is, bring effective and planned changes in your lives in order to get rid of ‘ Boredom’.
