We have often heard people say that ‘do not run after money’ and some sentences of this sort.

But today we cannot think of not earning a money and just leading a very good life. Life and its very maintenance require a lot of money these days. Even if we lead our lives with the bare necessities, there is obviously a need to earn money and I would like to discuss my point of view in this regard. 

The very first point that comes to my mind is that a person can have a lot of talents , education, potential and good virtues but you have to use all those points to lead a good life. If you are honest, polite, truthful, disciplined and you have a long list of these type of good qualities, you have to make it a point that you to earn your living out of it. 

If I have a long list of good virtues but I am not able to earn my daily bread then I cannot lead the proper life that I imagine of. 

Yes, you might not have a some 5 good qualities among the long list of good virtues but you use them to earn a living fore yourself. Then that is much beneficial than having a huge list of good virtues.
I am not saying that you should cheat, rob or kill or be dishonest to earn the money for yourself. 

That's not expected from us because if we do so our future generation will suffer. But just being highly virtuous and not able to earn our livelihood is a big ‘No ’No'…

Whatever good virtue or talent we possess  must be utilised in such a way that we earn something for ourselves.

At earlier days, these things were not required. Thats because if the head of the family would earn then the rest of the family could nicely depend on him for the rest of their lives. Today the scenario is different. 

Today the population has increased to a much greater level and the standard of living and the cost of things have increased to a great level.

So unlike olden days a single person cannot be the sole bread earner of the family. Nowadays all the family members have to earn whatever little they can to contribute for the family.

Things have become more expensive and so income has to be generated from many sources. This is the need of the hour. You have to be wise in using your talents and good virtues to get an earning for yourself, even if it is very small amount.
