Why trolling?

This is one of the developments of the online social platforms, which is now taking a critical place in the life of many eminent  personalities of the world. Not only is it subjected upon the eminent class of people but today if you express something from your mind or if you express your views on the social media then also you get trolled by a group of people. So why people troll on others, is really a very serious question. People can troll on any person but the outcome of trolling is something taking a serious note these days.. This is also causing mental trauma to many people so trolling is really not a cool thing to do…

Some cases of trolling

I wont take the name of two celebrities. In both of these cases, the protagonists are from the reality shows celebrity and serial stars. Suddenly due to lockdown, they were not having any work, to their credit. So what they could possibly do is try to earn for a second way of income. So they took the help of Facebook live to sell some products and to conduct acting classes. This could probably help them earn some money, I was following those two actors from a long time. Then I found as their FB lives were getting famous, some people started trolling these actors. These are separate cases…but the trollers had same kind of stuff to tell these actors.

They  constantly posted…" why are you doing online selling business being an actor", “ have you become so poor that you have to do business with public?”…." you look so aged and so uncool"…" Why are you behaving like beggars??"  and so on!!

How can trolling effect the mental health of the trolled person?

Trolling can actually cause deep effect on the person being trolled. The trollers may not understand but the things they post can cause an adverse effect on the mental health of the person being trolled. There are many people who do not take trolling seriously. But not all people are the same.

Should we take trolling seriously?

Absolutely not. We should all take trolling as lightly as possible. It should actually get unnoticed by everyone getting trolled. Actually these  trollers are people seeking undue attention, so nobody needs to pay attention to them.

Does trolling also increases our stamina to cope with the odds of the society??

Some psychologists of the modern world also suggests that trolling increases our stamina to cope with the odds of the society. Just like ragging, or bulling , trolling also helps in accommodating with the odds of the society. So being cool with the trollers, is one way of tackling the issue of mental health. There might be many difficult situations in life. We do not need to react or involve our mind in those things.
