Today its a common thing that people are loosing interest working from home. The tenacity to work is getting a blow as per the views of many. There are all sorts of distractions scattered all around. That is the reason people are loosing interest working from home.
But since we have to continue working from home for quiet a number of days still, so let me share with you some tips to make your working a bit interesting and enjoyable.
1.First please try to set a compact routine for yourself , no matter how much flexibility is there in your work. You can avoid getting up early in the morning. But you need to avoid getting to sleep early in the morning. Again getting up just at the point when your office is starting, is again a wrong idea.
Set your timings for office like how you used to maintain the timings when you used to go to office. The starting time and the ending time has to be maintained properly.
2. Try to set a target for every day or every week. Try to make a plan how to complete your work and meet the target within the scheduled time.
3. You can award yourself for achieving your target or even punish yourself for not achieving your target.
4.Try to compete with yourself. Say if you have completed a work within 2 hours yesterday, try completing it within lesser time.
If you can complete that work in a lesser time, then the saved time you can enjoy in your own refreshment.
5. Sometimes when we are not working, no work comes to our mind and we get bored. But as soon as we are doing office work, thousands of other work comes to our mind. We should trick our mind here. We should try to keep an account of the work that we need to do while we will be free, so that we can make our free time interesting.
6.While you are doing office work, other members of your family might have a free time. So they may watch movie or listen to music. So talk to them and tell them to use earphone for the same and ask them to cooperate.
7. You can take breaks while working. But its better to avoid short breaks often . Its better to take a long break of 30 minutes than take few ten minutes breaks. After each break you require some time to resume back to work. So its better to take lesser breaks but the duration of a long break can be widened as per your convenience.
Its better to set up a work station for yourself in a small corner of your house. Its not quite advisable to work lying in your bed. That might effect your sleep hygiene. Try to keep all official files and other necessary things ready in your workstation so that you can work comfortably from there.
