Throughout the length and breadth of Facebook and Instagram we get to see happy faces and always joyful moments portrayed on the ‘feed’ .
But when we get to the depth and the inner truth of all these selfies being published on social media, we get to find out that 99 percent of all those selfies are just status given by the people. There is no relationship of someone being happy .
We all have the habit of posting pictures and selfies whenever we can . We are not always ‘happy’ when we are posting pictures on social media. But we try to present our happy self to the whole world. The inner truth is that we are far from happiness.
Now the question comes if they are not happy why do they post happy pictures?? Now that's the irony of this generation. There is no chatting together or exchanging ideas going on when a group of friends are getting to meet each other. What they do is just come up with good dressing style and click selfies . They think that those selfies are a capture of their happy moments. And meanwhile they forget that there has been no happy moments ……..They were just ‘selfie moments’ …All are busy clicking their selfies with happy faces. But there is no love, compassion, friendliness, touchy feelings or warmth in between each other.
It has been found that after getting married a couple is set to post their selfies from every corner of their lives. In those selfies they were really found to be the happiest. But in reality they were not even sharing the same bed. Is this what we call happiness??
This generation is so much after their posting their happy selves, that they are actually missing out on those happy moments which the previous generations enjoyed.
We all are running after showcasing our happiness when we actually are crying from inside. When we need to meet friends and express our sorrow and joy with them, we hardly talk to them and express our heart out. We busily take selfies and present our happy self on social media.
This act actually gives a wrong idea to the people watching those uploaded posts. They feel that those pictures are actually happy ones, so they themselves post their happy pictures too.
THIS VICIOUS CYCLE CARRIES ON…..
But at the end of the day…we are left as a sad generation with all happy faces projected across the social media….
