This blog is regarding the life of a national award winning Indian scientist , Sukomal Basak who discovered a very innovative water dispenser. 

As I like to watch each and every documentary be it on Netflix or any other web platform, I do not leave out any documentary whatsoever .

I was watching Jiocinema platform which is absolutely free with my Jio connection. I often watch this platform and I enjoy the films out there. 

I came across a 11minute documentary in Bengali which spoke about a poor scientist Sukomal Basak from West Bengal. This person invented a very innovative water dispenser in the form of a self dispensing jug. For this innovation this person has been awarded with the National award from Indian government. Sukomal's family was delighted with this achievement because the family is very poor economically. 

But the sad thing is that soon after the award session Sukomals family has not been helped with any financial support for such an invention.  The NIF assured him that they would look after the matter but till today there is no assistance provided. 

Now Sukumar runs a small shop which his poor old father helped him to make to run their family of so many people. Sukomals mother and wife are sadly sharing their hard life even after inventing such a thing. Sukomals little son doesn't get nutritious food ,being a growing child. 
 

This is one story of a talented poor man of India. There are so many other such talents hidden in every corner of our country who gets felicitation  from the government but with no financial support. We should understand that these kind of talented people should get their actual remuneration for discovering something. They are real talents or rather gems of our country. Sukomal did not go to an IIT , sorry to say that but he is from a very poor family from a part of India. And this poor fellow without getting prestigious degrees from renowned institutes of our country managed to invent something meaningful and useful for the common man.

But does not get the square meal for himself and his family. But you get to see so many rich people in our country who are not as talented like this man but they are earning lacs of rupees each day. 

This is very sad that we fail to give the due recognition to poor people like Sukomal even after having merit and talent . That's the sad story of our country Which needs a reflection from all the educated minds of our country.
