Single parenting is itself a very tough job for any person , whether, the person is financially stable or not.

If the person is financially stable then he can take steps and feed his or her child, that's true, but the all round development of the child demands a lot of effort from the single parent who is undertaking such a serious responsibility.

Today, I would like to cite the example of Aditya Tiwari, who is a single father to Avnish who is a special child.

This is really a praiseworthy step to father a child who is also a specially abled child. But more than that, this courage of a man to single-handedly look after a child is very much to be appreciated.

I would like cover some headers from the point of view of single parents like Aditya which would actually focus on single parenting as a father to a child.

When the child is the teacher

According to Aditya, for single parents like him, its his child who has become the teacher. He gets to learn every moment from his child. Being a single father becomes easy for Aditya because the child is a constant teacher for him. But Still a question arises, if its at all easy to father a child as a single father.

Child having special needs

In this case the child is specially capable. So there are more responsibilities which has to be taken care of. This is not at all easy for any single father. So people like Aditya has brought a new concept of parenting to the forefront. Knowing the hardships related to such kind of parenting, people would get encouraged to take responsibility of a child who is specially capable. And not only that, there are still very few people who knows about being a single father. Being a single mother is still very common but being a single father is not so much into the scene. So when a trend or idea is new in the society it will have to face a struggling phase. So being a single father is not at all a very easy thing. Also because women are considered to be the caretaking gender and they have been acknowledged so far for that post, so it will take some time for single fathers to be a complete parent to the child. But todays men are more caring and compassionate and motherly like the women…so things are going to change soon.

Is parenting easier for a single woman?

No, its not easy for a single woman to grow a child all by herself, but still its taken as a natural thing, that Women are inheriting the caretaking capacity from her birth. So its a little easier for women because they are naturally born with that caretaking instinct. But Men has to master that potential before taking the responsibility, so that requires effort. But today things are changing and men are proving their potential even in case of single parenting.

Time changing the generation gap

Previously our fathers or forefathers could not imagine about a single father. But now things are changing. As per Aditya, his father was a much more conservative person than him, who is much open and sharing almost everything with Avnish. So that freeness has come between the father and the child in this generation. 

Fathers nowadays are getting more involved in parenting

Today men are getting much more involved as a parent unlike yester years. They are becoming more proactive guardians and most understanding fathers. So even if being a single father is not at all an easy task, yet Men are becoming more aware and more responsible parents.

Not following the old tradition anymore

Yes, the age old tradition is taking a change. Now men are coming forward to take the role of both a mother and a father.  So this is good for our society. There are so many  children who needs adoption . If capable Men can become responsible single fathers, then nothing like it….!!
