Dal Lake

This is a beautiful lake which had only ice and little bit of water because of winter. But we had a lovely time there. There are few temples nearby which are very beautiful. So you can go there. There is Yoga Centre nearby.

Local shopping in Mcleodganj

I loved the shopping area very much. And the best part was that it was 31st December. Inspite of COVID, people were enjoying a lot. The crowd was truly awesome. Music, fun, eating, shopping all went very well with us. 

             We had some street food. We tried the kabab  from the street. It was lovely. Trust me. 6 pieces of kabab only for Rs. 50/-.Awesome kabab. Then we picked up the local drink which was an Apricot drink as we wanted to enjoy a good drink. 

                                                We did some good shopping from there . But guys be careful of your budget. There are all types of shops available there. Some selling at high price and some selling at low price. So be wise while you shop.

Day-10 (January 1st-2021)-NEW YEAR DAY

The first day of 2021, it has been very exciting new year day for me. I will exactly tell you why??

We came down to Dharamshala or lower Dharamshala as it is called. Our hotel was booked in Mcleodganj only but we came down to lower Dharamshala for the side seeing.

War memorial

First we went to visit the war memorial. This place is very beautiful and it would surely evoke  the patriot within you. The brave soldiers who have sacrificed their live for us are remembered in this beautiful place. Its very very clean place . You have to buy the entry ticket which is only 20 rupees. You can take pictures of the different corners if you like. I have taken lots of beautiful pictures of the fighter planes and the memorial statues of the brave soldiers. 

                       Another thing this place is a military area so the toilets are very very clean , both for ladies and gents.

Aghanjar Mahadev Temple

This is a beautiful place which we discovered from our driver. We actually got the information from him about this temple. The most fascinating thing about this temple is that , there is an incense stick which has been burning some hundred years since it was first found. It is still lasting. This is the strange thing about the incense stick. Not a single day it has stopped burning. 

                                                Ladies sing with Dholaks inside this temple. Its quite a big temple. There is a small waterfall down side. You can also go there to experience nature.
