Hello readers,
My name is Attia shahid. I am from a small village of poonch, jammu and kashmir. I am 22 years old final year medical student(2017 batch) in GMC&H jammu.
Many of you already know that life of a med student is hectic .during working days we usually have to attend endless classes, postings in medical wards, surviving horrific medical vivas. We have almost zero personal or what we say “me time". But this lockdown have given me opportunity to follow my hobby of writing.
I want to share my daily routine in lockdown with you.I live in a hostel but in lockdown i have come to my home in village to spend my time with my parents.
So i get up at 7 or 7:30 am in the morning.
After bathing, i usually drink a glass of warm water and go to my terrace for a light walk. I prefer my terrace as it is so beautiful,my mother has planted different plants and flowers there and they give such a good and nice vibe.
At around 9 am, i have my breakfast and help my mother in kitchen with dishes.
I clean my room and at 10 am i start studying.
First medicine and then obstretics . I love studying medicine and i am aiming at doing my post graduation in medicine only.I want to be a good physician.
After studying for almost 4 hours, i take a break for lunch and do dishes.
Then i usually scroll through instagram or write something.
At around 4 30 pm, i again start studying .In evening i usually prefer studying surgery and dermatology.
Then at around 8 pm, i take a break and eat my dinner and go to my teracce for a walk.
Around 10 pm in night; i start revising all the subjects and around 12 or 12 30 am, i go for sleep after taking my medications for insomnia.
So, this is my daily routine during lockdown
I want to add some more things here.
As you all know that we are in the middle of a horrible pandemic. Many people have lost their lives. Many doctors have sacrificed their lives performing their duties.
One of our seniors who lost his life last year was such a nice person. He was so We never imagined that he will lose his life like this.
I request everyone to stay at home and get yourself vaccinated
There are many myths circulating in the country about covid vaccination.
Here in my village some people believe that covid vaccination leads to impotence, sterility or death.
But there are no such studies showing that covid vaccine can lead to such side effects.
So dont worry and get yourself vaccinated as soon as possible.
Thank you.
