Haunted House 👻

The Nicholls family lived on a very dark and cold night.  They were a lovely, friendly family.
 

The house was lovely, yet it was a……………………….. HAUNTED HOUSE 😑

The story opens with the entire Nicholls family deep sleeping in their warm, comfy beds. A shimmering white ghost emerged at midnight. When the ghost appeared, he yowled a scary noise. When he yowled that cry, lightning struck! Despite the loud sounds, the family remained asleep. Except for two 9-year-old twins, Molly and Holly, everyone was sound sleeping. The twins were exceedingly daring. They decided to investigate what was creating that strange sound. They rushed out of bed and began searching. They looked under their beds, behind the clock, and throughout the house but couldn't find where the yowling was coming from. They looked outside but still couldn't.

Holly and Molly awoke to the sound of crying outdoors. The girls respectfully inquired whether they could go outside. Their mother said, "Of course you can, as long as you get dressed first." "We will, Mum," they responded, sprinting up the stairs and flinging off their pyjamas along the way. 

After getting ready, the twins dashed outside to the grassy lawn.  They came to a halt abruptly as they encountered a sobbing ghost.  Molly bravely said "wwwwwhats the mattttttter" while shivering. "Are you alright?" .  "I keep scaring people, but all I want to do is help," the ghost admitted sadly.  Holly said, "Hmmmm"  "I have an idea!  Our father is a great inventor.  I'm confident he can help!"  "Great!" the ghost exclaimed.  "I'm glad you found me" . After the girls told Dad about what had happened, the three of them planned to meet. 

The daughters discovered Dad fiddling in the cellar, creating new fascinating inventions as he always did. Dad said, "I'm making a no spooky sound medicine" . What a coincidence. Molly begged Dad if she might borrow it, and off the girls walked, carefully gripping the medicine and being sure not to spill a drop. They gave the ghost the medication. He showed trust in the females by drinking it all up. That night, the ghost returned to the Nicholls family house and attempted to make a terrifying noise, but nothing happened. He knew the medication had worked. The ghost was so grateful for the twins' assistance that he quietly drifted into the girls' bedroom and said, "THANK YOU!" 

BUT WAIT, the family was asleep, and the ghost had been cured, so who whispered the yowl?
