The Other Side Of Independence

What we are doing today?
Yeah absolutely we are observing the 75th independence day.
We got independence from British rule through diplomacy, sacrifice, fight and other manoeuvre.

(Our true nationality is mankind;HG Wells)

That's great, now we are sovereign, democratic, secular and daily working for making a new India. Every youth is contributing for the fame of our country through the bottom of his/her heart and this is the epitome of patriotism.
We all know about the sacrifice that our national leaders and revolutionaries did in that journey.
We also bore the brunt of Partition and that was a horrific massacre in the history of South East Asia.
But after that we managed to control ourselves and we took oath for the progress of this country, initially we worked to make India a country which would be known throughout the globe with its name and rich culture and diversity that coexist in the heart of this land.

In the last 75 years we witnessed many achievements, development, innovations, and we believe in "Vasudev kutumbakam" and it's our real strength.
People of India are well known for their hospitality and compassion throughout the globe.
And everyone admire us for this.
We have achieved too many success in this long journey, but here some questions arise.
Are we really enjoying our freedom in real sense?

Do we have independence from outdated thinking?
Do we have all basic amenities to give life to a child?                                How to come out from the grasp of real evil i.e poverty?
Do we really believe in love (brotherhood) or we are living with sham only?
Even after 75 years and glorious achievement in all spheres let it be science, sports, technology but we are lacking in one sphere that is brotherhood.
That's love with Indians, when we visit abroad we are recognised as INDIAN.
However , in our land of love we are being known by our castes, religion, and these are cause of hatred among us.

Do you ever think why many people abhor others, because a person belongs to certain religion and certain caste and we start seeing them with sceptical eyes. And this led to create wounds on the body of Bharat Mata. The Bharat mata, who had already been suffered the pain of deadly partition, our mother has witnessed the horrific partition, who has lost many of his sons and daughters and we are still filled with anger towards another person because of someone's identity.

We shall accept diversity and endorse it with our full sense. We must not see anyone with hateful eyes.
But we should show our love and compassion as all are going through their problems in our life.

Please spread love. This country has lack of love, many people has already spread too much hate and anger, we need to share too much brotherhood such that this hatred by itself go into nadir.

It's unfortunate for us that we can easily understand the call of loathing but we are still unable to understand the budget and governance of this country.

People use us as a tool for their desires and we become puppet without conscience.
Don't you feel we are living in a paradox where opulence and penury still coexist?
Is it really a topic of concern?
Perhaps!

We as Indians should have compassion towards a child who has never tasted the delicious food of restaurants, we as Indians must follow the ideals of great leaders who played significant role in nation building.
We Indians must try to eradicate the corruption which has loosened the roots of India.

Only showing patriotism on a particular occasion is not a form of patriotism. In my view if we are  true patriot, then it's not mandatory for us to show our patriotism.
For ex: - as our parents love each other and they don't need to show that they do so.
It's easily visible in their deeds and cooperation.
Similarly we all are Indians irrespective of our personal identity, it's our main task to send the hatred at its nadir and adopt rational approach with humanism.

We should strive to give a life to a child who has never seen the magnificent classroom of schools. We need to create class consciousness as most of Indians are middle class and most of our problems are same, so we all should come together against any tyranny and work in such a way that we all get good result out of it.
We must tie Indians not divided them. Because unity in diversity is the fundamental principle of being an Indian.

According to me, independence doesn't mean showing patriotism through mobile phones with anger and abhorrence in mind and heart. It's totally different from that.

We all should rise up from the narrow thinking and work in a direction which can lead India to it's zenith.

Even after 75 years most women in our country face Anemia, children suffers from stunting and wasting.
We are not doing good in hunger index and other parameters though.
As a citizen of our nation we must focus on these issues because a great democracy is measured when the grievances of citizens are redressed.

It's my appeal to every Indian that please rise above the narrow thinking of hatred and anger and adopt the rational approach with humanism and promote feeling of oneness rather than divisiveness.
Believe in nation and it's ideals but never get subdued by chauvinism.
