You will never win if you never begin

Everyone aspires to do something in life. Kids crave to be the ‘superman’ they watch on television, students dream of working in their ‘dream company’, entrepreneurs long for their startups to become an MNC that the entire world knows. 

Such aspirations are like a fire inside our hearts but many of us douse that fire by splashing the water of doubts. These doubts can be 

• The doubt in your passion
• The doubt in your ability
• And most importantly, the doubt in yourself.

Imagine, if such doubts existed inside Sachin Tendulkar or Lata Mangeshkar, would these people be what they are now? Would there be a talent that inspires others if everyone backed off due to these doubts?

Doubts have to be cleared rather than feared. If you are starting something new, it means you are holding the zeal to do something you love. If you are scared to take your first step, then do not hesitate to take the support. Your parents, friends, and teachers are there for you and will always be till you are able to stand on your feet. 

Let me narrate to you my own example. I used to be a person who used to restrict myself in the comfort zone. That is, I often never participated in competitions, events, or sports held in my school days. I used to be scared of doing things that I had never done previously. Such fear always put me amongst the crowd who used to clap for the ones on stage. Though I did write a lot of poems, played music on my keyboard, and captured amazing moments with my camera, I never shared them with anyone. Perhaps I was scared of the criticism I'd receive over my work. After completing school, I took a step back and thought. Apart from academics, what else did I accomplish? 

NOTHING!

I realized that if I let that fear stay in me, I will never be able to do things that I love. Hence after I joined college, I took my first step by enrolling in a club. It was well out of my comfort zone, it was scary but I felt a powerful roar that echoed throughout my heart. From then onwards, I started doing new things, things that I had never wished to do in my schooldays. Doing new things allowed me to expand my skills, my interest and gave me a sense of amazing satisfaction.

There is nothing called a perfect time than now. So go on, take your first step and feel the joy of moving forward. Start by walking towards your passion, then running towards your ambition but never leave the track of faith.
