I love travelling and exploring the culture, traditions, the stories related to the places. This time i went to varanasi. It was a splendid experience I must say.

Varanasi is considered as one of the oldest city in India. It is a part of Uttar Pradesh North India.

It is believed that Buddhism was also found in Varanasi. It is considered  as pure as heaven that people from all across the country comes here to die.

The morning chanting ceremony, known as the Subah e Banaras which is performed each day prior to sunrise is a mesmerising experience for any individual visiting Varanasi for the first time. There are children wearing orange robes around their body and performing yoga and meditation practice as a part of their daily routine can be seen.Men and women, aged people can also be seen bathing at that time and performing the morning rituals as a part of the Hindu culture.

Cremation is a big part of Varanasi, so you will see bodies being burned. It is believed that if a person dies in Varanasi then moksha is inevitable.

So, it is here where people from across the country come to die, and making their way towards this goal is a guesthouse called the Moksha Bhavan.

Moksha Bhawan is a red coloured building where people are waiting to check in for their part of life to be lived and get liberated. As people living here temporarily are seeking to attain moksha, and they have exactly 2 weeks for it. If death does not come to them in these 2 weeks, they have to leave as a part of the rule. Not everyone is lucky enough to die in Varanasi.

It is more like a place for liberation. Purity, life, death is celebrated here. The name itself suggests the meaning of the place.

I feel lucky to have visited this place in my lifetime.I meditated for so long near the ganges that i was almost not aware of the time.I am taking the healing powers within me from this place that will stay with me until my last breath.Somewhere deep inside the soul of mine remains a wish to come back again and live a life that is unimaginable in the hi tech cities that we live in.Life is not so easy but it all depends how we see and deal with the situations around us.The challenge is to live on.
