West Bengal is a very popular state of Eastern India. It is reach with its own culture. So, if you're planning to go to WB, here are Top 10 places to visit in WB.

10. Purulia

Purulia is a district situated in the western part of the state. You can enjoy the magnificent Chota Nagpur Plateau here. The main attraction is Ajodhya Hill (712m). You can also interact with the local Santal culture.

9. Sundarban

The Sundarban forest is situated in Southern part of the WB in South 24 Pargana district. It is a tiger reserve. You can see the Royal Bengal Tiger here. Besides, you can see Crocodiles, deers, different species of birds and reptiles. You also can enjoy the mangrove areas as Sundarban is the biggest mangrove forest in the world. Trees like Sundori, Goran, etc can be seen here.

8. Shantiniketan

Shantiniketan in Birbhum district is a city famous for Visva-Bharati University and Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore established the city and the university. Here you can enjoy the peaceful environment of nature. You can visit the Shantiniketan Museum too. The best time to visit this place is during Holi or Dol purnima. 7. Dooars

Tarai Dooars is a forest area in North East India. Two famous forests of dollars, Jaldapara and Gorumara National Parks, are situated in North Bengal. You can enjoy an amazing jungle safari in these parks. You can see many animals like One horned rhino, elephants, deers, bison, leopards, etc.

6. Bishnupur

Bishnupur is a city located in Bankura district. It is famous for Terracotta Hindu Temples. If you want to enjoy historical terracotta of Bishnupur, you should definitely visit this place. Some famous places in Bishnupur are Rasmancha, Madan Mohan Temple, Jor Bangla Temple etc.

Mayapur is famous for world's biggest Iskcon temple. This city in Nadia is also the headquarter of ISKCON. The Lord Krishna temple is one of the best temples in India. You can visit this place anytime. But Ratha yatra is the best time to visit this place as Mayapur offers you one of the best ratha yatras in India. You can also visit the neighbor city Nabadwip as Nabadwip is the birth place of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
