Violence Against Women And Children Is On The Rise, Pocso Cases Are Also On The Rise

According to the police, violence against children is increasing. The number of cases registered in 2022 in both categories is the highest in the last seven years. 18,943 cases of violence against women and 5315 cases of violence against children were registered last year.

Thiruvananthapuram district registered the highest number of POCSO cases in the state last year. 592 cases. 555 cases were registered in Malappuram district, 463 cases in Ernakulam and 450 cases in Kozhikode.

This is according to the figures of the State Crime Records Bureau. The number of POCSO cases also increased. 4586 POCSO cases were registered last year. There was a decrease in violence cases only during the 2020 Covid period

23 child murders were reported in 2022, including murders of children under one year of age. Although lower than in 2021, this number of infanticides comes at a time when the government is prioritizing women's and children's safety.

269 ​​cases of child abduction and 3333 cases of other crimes against children have been registered. So many cases were registered under various categories related to violence against women. There are 2503 cases of rape alone. There has been a huge increase in the number of these cases compared to previous years.

5.When the girl asked for a jersey, he tricked her by saying that she would give it to him when he came home.  The girl told her relatives about the torture.  Then the police arrested the coach on the complaint filed by the family.  A case has been registered against Shanawas under various sections of the POCSO Act.Football coach arrested in Kozhikode case of molesting a minor girl.  Shanavas, a resident of Chempankandi Paramb, was arrested under the POCSO Act.  The incident related to the case was on December 23 last year.  The coach tortured the girl by saying that he would give her the jersey.

Yes ofcourse it is common in india . in india mostly cases are happening. Harrassment and the child abusing cases even their family members are also trying to seduce them . I had seen many cases like this and i responed for some situations and mainly we have to do something to stop child abusing and women harrassment and government want to have a look om this note and have to punish every accuset in the sense
