It was her first day at Cedars International School. Sheila attended second grade. She was certain that she would detest her new school and that she would miss her old one.
Two of the females in her class, Junie and Pam, presented themselves to her during the lunch break. They led her to a tree that was situated at the playground's corner.
"Would you like to come to the Hole of Mysteries with us?" Pam enquired.
"Mystery-filled hole! Where's that going to be?" Sheila questioned in shock.
There was a hole near the tree that was filled with sticks and hay. Junie declared, "This is the Hole of Mysteries."
Pam remarked, "Come on, let's jump into the hole."
Junie, Pam, and Sheila jumped in while holding hands. As they descended farther and farther, the hole grew darker.
Then it suddenly started to get bright. There were lit candles everywhere. Sheila felt afraid. Pam giggled when she saw her. Junie gestured to a rabbit that was lighting a candle.
"That is Binkie the rabbit," Pam remarked. She organizes every adventure we go on."
Junie exclaimed, "Hi Binkie!" Sheila is our new acquaintance. Do you have any exciting plans for us today at the enigmatic school?
"Hello Sheila, welcome to the Hole of Mysteries," Binkie grinned. I'm sorry, gals, but this is only a little adventure for you. It's not simple, though. It requires extreme awareness when it comes to noises. Note who is able to speak. Now adhere to my directions.
You must figure out how to get away." Binkie continued.
The females went with her. They entered a tiny chamber. Binkie was gone. Upon entering, the doors automatically locked. Three creatures occupied the space: a dog, a cat, and a fish (housed inside a bowl). Outside, they could hear loud grunts.
"I think there's a monster nearby," a terrified Sheila whispered.
"We need to enlist these animals' assistance to escape," Junie muttered.
"Or else we will have to stay here forever," Pam replied.
Sheila questioned, feeling somewhat anxious, "How do we find our way out?"
Junie exclaimed, "Let's think hard!"
Pam exclaimed, "I think I know!" Recall that Binkie warned us to beware of talkative people. These creatures must be able to communicate."
"But which one?" Sheila enquired.
"Let's investigate," Junie remarked.
"When we arrived, did you observe what the animals were doing? The cat was scratching itself and shaking its head. The dog's tail was pounding, and the fish was waving its. It has to either the fish or the dog, in my opinion. Let's investigate."
"Pam went up to the fish and said, Can you help us?" The fish kept waving its tail in the water as if it hadn't heard her.The dog was then approached by Sheila, who said, "What's your name?"
"Spike," the dog answered. I can assist you if you're trying to find the exit."Are you able to speak with me?" the girls asked the dog.
"Yes, I can," replied the canine. "Now, slam the door firmly and repeat the Ashanti mantra three times. As soon as the door opens, sprint to the top. Never again look back!"
The door opened when the three gave the dog their thanks and chanted Ashanti three times.
But the girls became frightened as the grunting sounds became stronger.
They started running up the dim trail and stopped at the start of the tunnel when they reached the top.
"Hey, we made it!" exclaimed Pam, thrilled that they had returned to the enigmatic school playground.
Sheila questioned, "But what about the animals?"
"They could be in there assisting Binkie in organizing our upcoming trip!Wow, exclaimed Sheila. I anticipate enjoying myself greatly at Cedars."
At that moment, the bell rang, and the three of them went back to their class in the unidentified school.
