Skin Care (Sharing Things Which Might Help You All In Order To Have A Flawless Skin)

I was never a skincare person until I started my weightloss journey and I realised, you are all you have, and you gotta love yourself the most. I went into a complete skincare, haircare and self care mode, just to upgrade my self .

I have never faced severe skin issues that teenagers go through, rather I had issues like mild acne and pimples (which is normal in hormonal changes), uneven skintone, scars and and acne marks etc. So my sole aim was just to improve the texture of my skin and I researched a lot to understand my skin type, what will work for me, what will not, different diys for different issues etc.

I never intended to “change" my skintone, I just wanted my skin to be flawless naturally. I wanted to improve the texture of my skin and I was working to achieve that. Right now, my skin is doing pretty good, the Pigmentation still is an issue though. But I like the way it is at this point of time because somewhere it reflects the hardwork gone into.

How I did that:

  • My favorite, hands down, homemade face packs!! I am a student and I can't spend my pocket money on expensive creams, masks, etc. I searched for budget friendly ideas and I realised how amazinly some of your kitchen ingredients can work for you. I still use a lot of face masks, all made at home, some of my favorite ingredients are : turmeric, wheat flour (it is good for skin tightening and texture improvement), sandalwood, honey, coffee, powdered sugar, rice flour (grind washed rice in the mixer grinder), milk, curd, lemon, gram flour. I keep on experimenting by switching these in between. Apart from this, I've used charcoal, rose petal powder, sandalwood, powder, neem powder etc. I usually apply them in the night before going to bed, so that my skin can rejuvenate while I sleep. Night time is the best time for skincare.
  • A bonus tip I can give to you is, the area around your eyes is very thin and sensitive. It needs extra care and attention, lest you will develop wrinkles and fine lines in that area real soon. When I apply neem oil at night , I begin with applying around the eyes and eyebrows first, very softly and then I move on to the face.

Lastly, everything you do to yourself, you do it for yourself, because you deserve better and that is it. Another reason than this won't let you stay in the race in the longer run.
