Sex worker is someone who offers sex for some amount of money on regular or occasional basis. Every sex worker will have past or a story before coming into this profession of no value. Some will choose this work for money and some others due to their own personal reason or the situations they have faced in the past.

I will now narrate a story of a poor village girl called Suma and how she turned out to be a sex worker and what made her do so. Suma was born and brought up in a poor family in a remote village. There were no literates in her family on thirty percent of the villagers very literates, that too they didn't study much yet they had passed their matriculation. 

Even Suma had studied in a government school and then requested her family to send her to city in order to continue her further education. She somehow convinced her parents, her parents despite of being poor took loan in the bank in order to bear Suma's educational expenses and sent to an affordable college in the city. Suma was very innocent and had no idea on how the life would be in the posh cities. She made few friends with hardship, she also had got some boys as her friends. As time passed Suma got adjusted to the environment there and was happy. She fell in love with a boy named Kiran in that College. Kiran and Suma used to roam together, go on outings and we're enjoying their life.

Suma didn't know much about Kiran but still loved him. Kiran sexually harrassed Suma, he left her and went away. Suma screamed, cried and regretted for what happened. She wasn't courageous enough to complain about Kiran. She was very poor and she knew that she couldn't do anything to Kiran. Suma after few days of being in dipression went back to her village and couldn't withstand with what had happened. She told everything to her parents, Suma's parents who had so much hopes and beliefs on Suma got extremely angry and disappointed. They told her that it was solely Suma's mistake for whatever has happened and told her to go away leaving the home.

Suma had no choice she went away, slept on streets, she had no money. She even tried to suicide but couldn't do that. So in order to survive Suma chose to work as a sex worker as she wasn't able to get any job. She thought that there is no other way she could survive even if he doesn't agree for sex work. Since then till now Suma is in guilt, she's regretting, she's angry, she's ruthless. Totally Suma has been like an animal throughout her life.
