Hey guys…welcome back! Let me get straight to my blog today.
There are certain myths and misconceptions that we have been believing from generations to generations. They may seem almost true because of the prevalence of these myths in our everyday life. Mostly, we hear from our parents or teachers, and movies and tv shows are no exceptions. It would be far more good to clear out those misconceptions and know the real truths behind those. Here are some of those crazy myths and their actual facts:
Bulls get wild when they see the color red: surprisingly, bulls, like other cattles, are color blind to red and green. It's the movement of the cape that triggers bulls when matadors wave those red cape.
We only use 10 percent of our brains: in the movie Lucy (2014), starring scarlett Johansson, there is a plot line staying this myth. But in reality, according to scientists, humans use virtually every part of the brain and most parts of the brain is active almost every time.
Dogs only can see Black and white: don't let this crazy myth get to you if u are a pet lover. It's true that dogs cannot see all the colors but can distinguish between colours.
Goldfish only have a three second memory: even though goldfish have a reputation of having bad memories, several studies showed that they have a memory last long upto 5 months.
Touching a toad will give you warts: toads have a wart-like bumps on their skin which are actually glands and in some, these glands may oust secretions, which may irritate your skin but won't give you warts.
If u touch a lost baby bird with your bare hands, it's mother will reject it: this myth is almost as similar to that of baby squirrel, that it's mother will abandon which if u touched it and helped to its nest. In fact, wild animals' bond with their younger ones is quite stronger and do not quickly abandon them.
Humans only have 5 senses: this may come as a surprise to you all, if u are not a science nerd. We are taught that we only have 5 senses; such as touch, taste, sight, smell and hearing. In fact these are the basic human senses while actually humans have 14 to 20 senses.
Chameleons change their colour to camouflage from their enemy: yes, these creatures do change their colours, only to regulate their temperatures or to communicate with mates, but not to escape from their predators.
There is a part 2 coming for this, so guys….stay tuned!!!
