From the very first day when we all were some kids girls are being gifted with kitchen sets, dolls and boys with cars and video games. We girls from very first day are being taught that you must know how to cook. But what I think is that basics of cooking must be known by every person whether male or female. Because in today's world for getting good jobs most of us are migrating to different places and even for good studies we are looking for various colleges. And if we know how to cook, it saves lots of our money and we can have healthy and clean meal at our place rather than eating daily outside from restaurants or street shops.
Talking about me even I don't know that much cooking but still learned few new dishes that we can make at our home. Last year lockdown, sitting at home makes us craved for some many food items. Few of the dishes which I prepared for satisfying my cravings are as follows:
CHATPATA CHANA: Sometimes we have mood of eating something spicy and piquant. This is the simplest one. Take one bowl boiled chana. Add one boiled and mashed potato to it. Now add some chopped onion, tomatoes, one green chilly, rock salt, black pepper, mango powder and 2-3 lemons to it. Mix all the materials well one by one to boiled chana. You can have it with bread or kulcha also.
RABDI: Take a pan and add 1litres of whole fat milk and let it heat on low to medium flame till the milk starts forming a layer of cream on the top. When milk starts forming a layer, take one spatula and gently move it into the milk. Till the time milk is heating crush some almonds, pistachios or any other dry fruit which you want to add crush those. When the milk reduces to the half then add 2-3 tbsp of sugar. Then add saffron strands, cardamom powder and stir gently. When milk gets reduced to its β qty. switch off the flame. Add crushed dry fruits into it and stir gently. Keep it in refrigerator for 2-3 hours and serves when get chilled.
