Hello all!!! Hope all my fellow bloggers were doing good and great. Here's another blog about red rice and it's benefits with one delicious recipe Paniyaram. This is our favourite homemade snacks and some time we used to eat this as breakfast too. Both sweet and spicy Kulipaniyaran can be made in this rice. So, first I'm going to share you about red rice and it's benefits.
Red rice : And some people used to ask me why it is named as red rice?? And I'm answering them very easily for their better understanding. So, red rice is called because of its colour is slightly brown and that is caused due to the pigment called anthocyanin.
Benefits of red rice:
How to prepare the batter?? Here we go.., soak the red rice for minimum 3hours and maximum 5hours because it's little hard. Soak one handful of Fenugreek seeds. And then after 3-5 hours filter the water and add the rice into the mixer or grinder or blender and add Fenugreek seeds soaked along with the red rice and grind it till it become a batter. Made it as little thick batter. And allow it to ferment for some times.
Sweet Kuli Paniyaram:
Making : Take a bowl and take red rice batter that you grinded. Also take a vessel and melt the jaggery. According to your taste preference melt the jaggery and add it to the batter. If you feel it's very thick in consistency you can add small amount of water. Then take a kuli panniyaram pan apply melted ghee in all the holes then mix the batter well and pour it into the pan. Leave it for 20-30seconds and cook well both sides. Now you can serve it as hot .🤤❤️
Spicy kuli Paniyaram: first chop the onions and satute it till it become golden brown colour and instead of Jaggery you have to add the satuated onions into it and then pour the batter into holes and leave it till it cooked well and serve it with coconut or tomato chutney.
