In search of happiness and peace
Our ultimate goal in life is to be at peace and happy. We seek to live an eternally joyful life. Money, sexual pleasures, and gadgets have brought us outer riches, but we are still unhappy. We marry for happiness and divorce for joy, both not satisfying. It appears that unhappiness, sorrow, pain, and suffering are unwanted guests in life. Our common sense tells us that we tried our best to own, possess, and grab things outside of our own world for permanent happiness in life, but failed miserably.
The seeker realizes that true happiness does not lie in outer space.
To find relaxation, peace, and happiness, we are chasing many things from outer space. Running outside makes it clear that eternal happiness isn't found in outer space, but the mind doesn't make a firm decision. Only the inner space remains for relaxation, peace, and happiness. There are many scholars who believe it is spiritual; anything spiritual lies within man. The Inner space of man is a state of mind void of anything external. A state of mind that is objectless provides a glimpse of subjective reality. We cannot deny that we are deep within the inner space. In a dark room, we can deny the presence of any object, because we cannot perceive it, but we cannot deny that we are there. In this non-denying of "I am" we come to know that our senses and mental perceptions cannot help us to know our true nature and real self. A seeker is someone who has purified his mind and dedicated himself to discovering the inner space that is destined for relaxation and mindfulness.
Relaxation, peace, and happiness—where can you find them?
As a seeker, a man understands from the masters of Eastern Wisdom that he cannot find peace and happiness in people, possessions, events, and time outside of himself. During this process of learning, the common-sense approach helps the seeker realize that all experiences of the world outside take place in the mind. As an example, even though the article is not physically present, the experience of reading it occurs in the mind. According to Eastern Wisdom, perception or knowledge can be classified into three types: mental perception, sensory perception, or direct perception. The immediate understanding is when the self recognizes itself by itself without the assistance of sense organs, mind, or intellect. Ordinary people gained insight into subjective reality by discarding the world outside and transitioned to becoming great masters.
Happiness, relaxation, and peace of mind
True self-identity comes from knowing our true nature. Real-self is expressed as truth, eternal truth, joy, love, and wisdom. The aim of relaxation, mindfulness, and meditation is to become aware of one's self. Krishna, the great master of yoga, claims that even a single step toward self-discovery saves a person from great fears and suffering, and awakens them to relaxation, peace, and happiness.
Developing a state of relaxation and mindfulness is a never-ending journey
Relaxation, mindfulness, inner peace, and happiness never end when we walk these paths. In each area of our lives, personal, professional, social, and family, we continue the journey until we are filled with peace, joy, and relaxation. According to Buddha, we will be happy as long as we are seeking. It is a state of awakening and relaxation. This is a mental transformation.
