(a) Drinking while eating makes you fat:- people believe that drinking water while eating food leads to obesity. According to then digestive juice get dilute due to water, which slow down the process of digestion this led to accumulation of extra fat in body. Whereas different researcher have proved that drinking water while eating food improve Digestion.
(b) Donn't take milk after eating Fish:- It is one of the most widely accepted myth. Many people believe that drinking milk immediately after eating fish can cause white stain on the body. While various researchers show that there is no problem with drinking milk immediately after eating fish.
(C) Starve yourself to lose weight:- It is believed that is starving yourself is the best way to reduce weight. whereas the fact is that starving leads to the physical fatigue and effect proper functioning of body. Instead, to lose weight food could include things that increase the metabolic rate so that the person does not eat much.
(d) Exercise make you feel hungry :- It is believed that due to high calorie expenditure during exercise the appetite of the person increase. While study did not find any truth in this statement.
(e) Rice and potatoes increase obesity:- Many people believe that due to the excess of carbohydrate in rice and potato their consumption increase the body weight. In fact, both of these food are good sources of energy and they do not increase body weight by eating them in limited quantities.
(f) Egg increases cholesterol level:- Many people believe that eating egg less to the increase in Cholesterol due to which cardiovascular problems can arise. Indeed, egg protein are a good source of various nutrients such as vitamin, zinc, iron, calcium and Phosphorus by daily eating an egg, our requirement of cholesterol can be met easily.
(g) Fat free product help in losing weight:- Food labelled fat free or sugar free are more likely to increase the body weight, because the food generally have equal or bit less calories as compared to the regular food. In addition people eat more quantity of such food item under the misconception that these items are very less calories than ultimately result in to increase in body weight.
