Erwin had a rare quality, he smiled and paid compliment to every stranger he met on his journey. One day, when he was resting under a tree, he saw a crying beetle. He asked the beetle what the matter was. The beetle said he had a rough week, and he is in search of some gold. Erwin although he had only two gold coins, handed over one to the beetle. The sniffling bettle stops crying and a smile slowly takes over his face. The bettle was pleased and remarked Erwin as a generous and a kind man. And thus, Erwin went to continue his journey.

Erwin was travelling through unknown lands. He was now left with only one gold coin. But his big heart and kind soul didn't know any better. One day when he was drinking water from a pond, he saw a catfish. The catfish looked worried and came towards him. The catfish wanted to take its child to a swim school and didn't have any money left. The fish requested Erwin to lend him some gold. Erwin at first surprised about a catfish talking and the swim school, gave his third and last gold coin without hesitation. The catfish thanked Erwin and promised to come to his aid in his time of need.

Now Erwin didn't have any gold coins left. He had nothing but a bright smile on his face. And so, he travelled and reached the city. The big city confused the simple village boy and he felt lost and started to walk in circles. The sun was beating down on the kingdom. It was a hot afternoon. Looking at the red-hot sun, Erwin happened to walk past the royal guards. Princess Luna was gazing out of her window in her ivory tower. Their eyes met. Erwin's frown about the hot sun vanishes and as he lays his eyes on Princess Luna, all his worries seem very small. Erwin forgot that he was tired and thirsty. Dreamily he loses his balance, stumbled and fell into a muddy pool, face first. He lost consciousness for a short while. Seeing Erwin in trouble, the mouse, the dung beetle and the catfish, all rushed to his help. The catfish was splashing water onto Erwin's face, the mouse cleaning the mud from his face with the help of a towel and the dung bettle poking Erwin to wake up.

Princess Luna's face lit up at this bizarre sight, with the most beautiful smile and started laughing suddenly. The king was puzzled and jumped in joy. The loud laugh of the princess cannot withstand the dark curse! The mirror in which the demon resided broke into smithereens. The power of love is a funny thing. It can erase a dark curse within minutes. Luna's world is filled with color, light and laughter. Luna immediately called Erwin to the palace. The king gave him all the gold and Luna's hand in marriage only if he wishes to. Princess Luna and Erwin spent the next few days talking and laughing. Princess Luna started grooming herself, she ate properly and learnt how to smile again. They eventually fell in love and got married in a grand wedding. Erwin and Luna promised to be each other with a smile and a joke. No matter the time or place!
