Once upon a time there was a princess called Luna. She had the most gorgeous pair of big brown eyes. Her hair was long and shiny like the night sky. She had the prettiest face. But this story with the beautiful princess has a twist. 

Luna's heart didn't feel any happiness. Luna never smiled. An evil force that resided inside the mirror cursed Princess Luna when she was a child. One day, when a young Luna was playing with a doll that resembled her with a smiling face. Luna was fawning over herself as she looked into the mirror. Suddenly a witch appeared on the mirror. The witch scared the daylights out of the young princess. When Luna asked what she wanted the witch replied that she wanted what Luna was most proud of. Luna didn't understand what the witch was trying to tell and out of a flight or fight response, Luna spoke rudely to the Vanity Villain. The witch took away her smile and cursed her with sadness! After cursing young Luna, the vanity villain vanishes into the mirror with a bright flash.

From that day onwards, Princess Luna never smiled, never laughed. She couldn't. Even if she wishes to, how could she? She was cursed. One night, when the king was lying in his bed, he thought for himself. He had all the wealth and gold that he ever wished for, but what he really wanted was a smile on his daughter's face. The king wanted to do something for his daughter. He suddenly got up and summoned all his ministers at midnight to seek advice how to fix the problem. The next day, a new royal letter was delivered to the common people. It read that whoever can make Princess Luna smile will be rewarded with a pot of gold. The following day was exciting and full of promise. 

Many talented people came ahead and performed different activities to make the princess smile. The people around roared in tandem, but the princess didn't even break a smirk. The king was distraught as although the activities were funny, yet it couldn't make the princess laugh. Then came forward a prince. He was handsome and dreamy. But Luna didn't even bat an eye lid. He brought a rare delicacy with him. It was a fruit that filled the kingdom with its sweet scent making everyone salivate. Princess Luna gazed at the fruit with empty eyes and absolutely no emotions! ………..……  (will be continued)
