How To Align Yourself And Increase Your Energy
ALIGN YOUR PACE OF WORK
- There are a lot of people who work like crazy for few days, and then never work or do less for few days, this habit not only decreases your energy it also affects your cognitive skills, you lost your momentum and rhythm, and then you have to work twice as hard to get back to your original pace. Very important lesson that we all forget here is that, frequency matters more than intensity. Instead of working rigorously try to create a momentum, show up every day and move slowly but consistently, and when something becomes effortless, raise the level of intensity, to the point where you can get there without too much resistance.
EAT WITH MINDFULLNESS AND GET ENOUGH SLEEP
- Sleep well! Staying up late and binge watching is fun, but when you will pay attention to how much it affects your body you will realize how wrong you were doing to yourself. Sleep is the foundation of our energy; it is not something to take for granted. Poor sleeping habits are a major reason of diseases, poor performance, making mistakes and lower sex drive.
- Eat a lot of greens and do mindful eating, keep yourself hydrated, consume water slowly and sip by sip instead of taking all the water at once.
MOVE YOUR BODY
- Move your body as much as you can, it is the most common advice but trust me itโs the most effective one for your long-term health, maybe an evening walk or jog around the block or a quick yoga routine helps in emotional flow of your body, it helps you to get out of your head.
- Especially during these times when all of us are doing Work from Home, sitting at one position and constantly staring the screen, it consumes a lot of our energy, simply be aware that you need to move your body, so stand up and walk for few mins around your house, stretch a little and then get back to work.
KEEPING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND READ GOOD STUFF
- If your conversations with your friends leave you feeling drained, then maybe itโs time to make some changes. It is Always good to be helpful towards others, but at what cost? ask yourself. You don't have to exclude them from your life, but by simply creating healthy boundaries, you save yours and their energy.
- Assess your relationships and be aware of who you are spending your time with and the value this really brings to your life.
- Read good books not the ones that teach you facts, but those that subtly change your entire thinking patterns.
