4 years is a  love story of engineering students . The movie is directed by Ranjith Sankar . The main roles is led by Sarjano Khalid and Priya Prakash Varrier . 

Vishal and Gayathri were engineering students . They studied in the same class . Their friendship turned into love . Vishal proposed Gayathri in OAT and accepted his proposal . But 6 months before the final day in the college , they ended their relationship . Gayathri told the reason for break-up that , she is unable to concentrate her studies in between the relationship . But Vishal knew that that is not the actual reason . From that day onwards Vishal keep a distance among from her and from his class . 

At the final all gathered at OAT for a class photo , but Vishal didn't came to take the class photo . A friend of Vishal came to Gayathri and told her to call Vishal because, he is not answering his call . When Gayathri called Vishal he answered  and told her that he won't come because , he is mis fit to the class .

During night Gayathri and her room-mates where celebrating their last day in the college . In between the celebration Gayathri got a call from Vishal , asking her to come to OAT . She refuses to come . Then come to OAT . Vishal gave her a hug and said okay you can go . 

Next day morning  he told his friend that if i say sorry to her . She will be with him . So his friend tell him to say sorry to her . But Vishal said that she already went to her home . But Gayathri hasn't left from the college because , she have to return  her library book and have to meet Susan mam . Accidentally Vishal came to the college and saw Gayathri there . He followed her but Roshan  in their class came to see Gayathri for a marriage proposal . Vishal didn't like it and he made a seen in the college canteen . 

Gayathri went to ladies hostel to take her bag and to go to her home . But Vishal came there and ask her he will drop in the bus stop . Gayathri went with him and they where stuck in the rain . At the time Vishal told her that this locket told me to come to you , That locked is gifted by Gayathri . She took back the locket and said he don't need this .

Vishal dropped her in the bus stop and go upstairs where the party house situated . From there he is watching Gayathri . Suddenly he realised that Gayathri is gone he come down very quickly . At that time he saw Gayathri seating on the bus stop  . He take her to the supply house and made her a wonderful meals. And they kissed each other . After that he become rude to her and she left the place and went to her home . He followed her and said sorry . And they fixed a deal that they, will call each other after 4 years . Then she left her house and set a reminder in her phone “ After 4 Years ”  .
