Exactly twin sisters. Jaya and Vijaya. Their mother always wore the same clothes. No one but mother could understand who was Jaya and who was Vijaya. Five years passed in this way. They were living in Mumbai at that time due to their father's teaching job. They will go to Calcutta on one holiday. But as the father did not get leave, the mother left with her two daughters and an employee of the father's department and decide that, Dad will arrive later. But the Kolkata-bound train had a terrible accident. Many people died. The mother, fellow gentleman and a daughter died. The other girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The girl survived but lost her memory. She can't remember that she is Jaya or Vijaya. After the accident, her new life started with a new name. The treasure trove of memories has to be rebuilt. But Amrita is often read in the face of family questions - is she victorious or not? She became terrified at this question. Doctors said she should not be asked such a question. If she remembers something, she will read it automatically. If not, there is nothing to do. The memory of the accident did not come back to him.Almost all the stories in Tandra Bandyopadhyay's story book 'Parallel' bear the hint of this 'argument' sometimes in dreams and sometimes in waking.  In a story, the protagonist perceives the existence of another 'other' place while she is awake.  Again in a story that range appears in sleep.  The description of this range is the same in almost all the stories.  Faint, unfamiliar plants, sometimes a strange sea, the fragrance floating from an unknown place. There is a huge tide in Bengali supernatural literature at the moment.  The supernatural story has descended on the Bengali book market by using 'Tantra'.  Most of those stories are full of weird things going on to portray 'fear'.  In a story of drowsiness, he did not walk the streets. Reading this story, the reader who is obsessed with supernatural or surreal literature may remember the story of 'Dream Cycle' written by Howard Philip Lovecraft, one of the best American writers of this genre.  Where a character named Randolph Carter enters a special world through a dream, whose logic is at once different from the known world. Beyond the familiar reasoning, ‘author grandfather’ took the reader to the surrealism of ‘other reasoning’.  Here Tandra has targeted in his first book.  ‘Parallel’ is a valuable addition to Bengali supernatural literature.
