Actor Analysis :

N.S. Ponkumar oversees the film's plot, screenplay, and direction, making sure to demolish each department equally. The entire film appears to have been modelled after the one-liner “A village unaware of Independence because of its brutal British rulers.”My advice to all budding writers is to read the one-liner and come up with the worst possible plot that could possibly go around it; it would still be better than it is depicted here. NS Ponkumar was required to do the following scenario: Makers: How much drama will you inject into the scene in the movie? S. N. Ponkumar Yes. Due to the complete lack of supporting elements, the cruelty used to dramatise the situation fails to connect even once. hence, even if a girl is underage

Performance by a Star :

Despite having the most significant role, Gautham Karthik—who to me appeared to be the love child of Kichcha Sudeep and Allu Arjun—came off as unimpressive due to the film's screenplay. His acting abilities cannot be best displayed in a single scene. Revathy, who lacks a voice of her own, portrays the female lead. She does a great job of fitting her character's stupidity, but she never really has a chance to shine. As the big, harsh Brit who hams on Instagram more than Rakhi Sawant, Richard Ashton is currently hamming. He breaches all the borders that may have prevented him from becoming a caricature because he is so loud and out of control. Jason Sha maintains his composure while maintaining his evil side.

Theme and music :

The first movie from NS Ponkumar turns out to be a good premise that was badly executed. He almost got the idea right, but he came up empty-handed. Before tackling the routine instruction, he will need to brush up on his writing abilities. The loud background music by Sean Roldan drowns out the pointless melodrama taking on on screen. None of the songs are able to calm the pandemonium that would otherwise exist.

Villain : Richard Ashton,

The primary antagonist in August 16, 1947 is not Justin or Robert; rather, it is the movie's trailer, which revealed all the plot points in advance and provided the impression that the movie would be a fun, lighthearted look at the struggle for independence. Even if these stories are predictable, they can be made interesting by good writing that immerses us in the protagonist's world and puts us in their position. However, the main character Paraman (Gautham Karthik) doesn't spend much time here becoming familiar to us. We don't even get a clear image of his relationship with the locals, to start with. He dances with them while doing nothing to stop the men from being slain or the females from being raped.
