What's your favorite pet? Mine is always a dog. Yeah some people love cats, and that depends on the individual. Some love to pet birds too. But today I am here to share some interesting facts about our pets dogs and cats, which you guys may not aware of. With no more further delay…

a) At night, a cat can see six times better than you can.

b) After the death of pet cat, some ancient Egyptians showed respect by shaving off their eyebrows.

c) Most cats are born with blue eyes. When kittens are born, they don't have as much of the pigment that darkens the eyes. This changes after few days.

d) When a cat rubs its body against you it means that it is “marking its territory”. They do this when they are stressed or threatened.

e) The world's smallest dog breed----Chihuahua----comes from the country “Mexico”. The world's largest dog breed----Great Dane Zeus----comes from the country “Germany”.

f) A dog's nose print is as unique as human fingerprint. This print is used to identify the missing dogs.

g) A dog breed named, “Collies” (a distinctive type of herding dogs)is originally bred to assign the job as “Sheep-Herding”.  This type is originated in Scotland and Northern England.

h) “Wolf” is the ancestor all dog breeds have in common.

i) The dog breed “Pugs” were favored pets of Chinese Emperors.

j) A dog's eyes has 3 eyelid.

k) Dogs can smell diseases like diabetes and cancer.

l) Dogs can smell about 10,000 times better than humans. Dogs noses are wet to help them absorb scent chemicals.

m) Cats sleep for around 13hrs to 16hrs a day (70% of their life). Cats can jump up to 6 times their height.

n) One of the largest domestic cat breed is Maine Coon.

o)  Most adult dogs sleep up to 10.8hrs (being average) a day.
