So today, after a break, I came up with few more interesting facts. This time it's about our human body. So you ready to learn? Let's get started… 

  • Everyone has a unique tongue print.
  • The stomach continually produces new layers of mucus to protect the lining and stop the stomach from digesting itself.
  • There are more than 600 muscles in the human body. Muscles are 40% of body's total weight.
  • Food spends up to 6 hours in your stomach being digested.
  • At rest, you breathe about once every four seconds. This rises to once every second during exercise.
  • The average human blinks 23 times a minute. That's 12 million times a year.
  • When you sleep, you lose up to 42g in weight every hour.
  • In an average lifetime, you will walk the equivalent of five times around the equator.
  • The largest artery, the Aorta, is about 2cm in diameter. That's as wide as a hose pipe.
  • One in 2,000 babies is born with a tooth.
  • A fingernail would grow 28m (90ft ) long if never cut. The middle nail grows fastest, the thumb slowest.
  • A body releases 2 litre of gas per day as burps Or farts.
  • A single sneeze might contain up to 100,000 virus. 
  • Babies start dreaming before they are born. 
  • The left lung is smaller than right lung to make room for the heart. 
  • Children grow faster in spring. 
  • The first successful heart transplant took place in 1967.
  • Standing up right burns up to 140 calories of energy in an hour. 
  • An adult man normally needs to eat about 2,500 calories a day. Arctic explorers need about three times that much to keep them going in cold. 
  • There are 100 trillion cells in your body. A billion of them die every 20 seconds.
  • The largest human cell is female ovum. The smallest is the male sperm. 
  • The liver handles more than 500 jobs, including the disposal of dead blood cells, making proteins and storing sugars. 
  • Your brain weighs about 2% of your body weight but uses 20% of your blood supply. 
  • Your eyes stop growing when you reach puberty and stay the same size for the rest of your life. 
  • The smallest muscle in the human body is the stapedius. It is inside the ear and is less than 2mm (0.8 in) long. 
  • In your life time you will drink about 70,000 litre (16, 000 gallons) of water. 
  • Life expectancy at birth in Japan is 84 years- the highest in the world.
