That Stormy Night

It was a clear sky with twinkling stars. However you must be wondering then why did l mention stormy, well l will come to that soon.

That day I was returning home from my afternoon shift. It was little late at night.

Although there were street lights but there was a part in the street which was dark because of the huge mango tree whose canopy was so dense that the moonlight also couldn't pass through it properly. But that didnt bother me as that was my locality.

I was talking to a friend over my cellphone, when l came to that part of the street.  l was walking down the street when l realized that a cyclist was coming from behind l paid no heed .

Suddenly l felt a hand on my chest very inappropriately and a furious rage ran through my veins.  l just ran to him dragged him down his cycle and hit him hard and held him by his collar and was shouting at the top of my voice at him, swearing and threating him.He didn't expected any of such behavior so seeing me attacking him this furiously he got scared  turned his cycle and ran the direction he came from. Then l noticed that there was a biker standing there with his headlights on as if helping me to do my work even properly. As l left the place l realized that my phone was on and the person on the other side heard all of it then l cut the phone and went home. That was l first and last time l saw that cyclist.

When l returned home l never said anything to my Ma as she would be very worried but she came to know all about it later from our neighbor who said Ma "You don't need to worry about her she is a good fighter". Felt very proud that day when l heard my Ma said this to me and enquired what happened in details. Ma smiled as l finished  and l understood that she was also very proud of me. I am thankful to my Ma for raising me strong.

l have a regret that l didn't recognize the biker  but will always be grateful for what he did, just by standing there with the headlights on thus supporting me.

And the storm which l mentioned meant for the storm which l was going through inside me hence the name.
