The Naval power's 'fort' landed in the sea.

It's proud for our Indians .The Indian Navy has got its second Aircraft Carrier (IAC). Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the INS Vikrant to the service of the nation at the Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi on Friday morning. He said, on the coast of Kerala, the whole of India is witnessing the sunrise of a new future. This event being held onboard INS Vikrant is a shout out to India's rising spirits on the world horizon.

INS Vikrant, the first indigenous aircraft carrier, is a floating fort. Everything from its design to manufacturing was done in our India. It was started manufacturing in 2009 and after a long wait of 13 years it has been inducted into the Navy.

It is India's second cargo ship after the INS Vikramaditya. The first aircraft carrier was handed over to the Navy in 1960. The name of this ship imported from Britain was also Vikrant, which is now retired. The new indigenous ship has been named after him.

India joins the club of big countries :- 

INS Vikrant is an important step towards India's self-reliance in the defense sector. India now joins a select group of countries such as the US, UK, Russia, China and France that have the capability to build indigenous aircraft carriers.

4 times more iron than the Eiffel Tower :-

Four times more iron and steel than the weight of the Eiffel Tower in France were used to build INS Vikrant.

The steel in it is also indigenous. It was developed by DRDO and manufactured by indigenous companies.

Its five decks are equal to two football grounds.

There are so many cables and wires in it, which can reach from Kochi to Kashi if spread.

INS Vikrant the height of self-reliant India...

• Weighing 45,000 tons.

• 262 meters in length, 62 meters in width, 59 meters in height.

• More than 21 thousand tons of special grade steel used.

• More than 12,600 km of electric cables.

Vikrant is gigantic, vast, magnanimous. It is special, it is also special. India's lofty spirits are a hoot. It's not just warships. The 21st century is a testament to India's hard work, talent, influence and commitment.
