I'm getting married to Sneh, my best friend, today. This has to be the day that stands out in my memory the most. Since two days ago, relatives have started to arrive from near and far. Brighter orange and yellow marigold garlands have been used to decorate our house, the small green one at the corner of the lane. "All's well that ends well" is undoubtedly true.

I've finally received a prize from God for all the sacrifices I ever made. I can still clearly recall the day Sneh ran up to me in the airport and yelled, "Shree, I love you."
In the airport, I overheard the announcement for the flight I had been waiting for. I got to my feet, positioned my trench coat over my left hand, and moved in the direction of the runway. I haven't seen Sneh in a very long time—two long years. Yes, we do use Skype for video chats nearly every other day and speak on the phone at least three times every week. But it means a lot to me to finally meet him in person.

I've always been surprised by Sneh. He is often my greatest source of gratitude. He has always made an effort to make me feel very special. He frequently devises such illogical solutions to significant problems, and when you discover that his idea truly worked,You find it so unbelievable.

He must be at the airport, I thought. He was on the go. He trip over some luggage. He still continued to run in spite of that. Running was tough for him because of his hefty luggage. I gave him a friendly wave and motioned for him to slow down. Instead, he started to run faster while yelling, "I love you, Shree."

I was transfixed. I remained still for a little period of time. He managed to surprise me. as usual.

By the time he did, he had tightly hugged me. I don't know how long I waited for that reassuring hug. Time appeared to have stopped there. Forever.
We hailed a cab.Sneh instructed the vehicle to head in the direction of Southern Avenue. I questioned him because I was perplexed. He nonchalantly retorted, "Don't you think our first date should be in somewhere special?" to my amusement.

I asked him in a bewildered tone, "Date?"

I jokingly remarked, "Did I mention a yes to your proposal?"

However, you will.I know.".He spoke with authority and assurance. He undoubtedly knew every detail about me. Yes, I had been deeply in love with Sneh for the previous twelve years.

Although we've only known each other for a couple of years, Sneh has been my best buddy. On Anaoshka's birthday, we first connected. Sneh is the cousin brother of one of my pals, Anaoshka. Prior to becoming best friends, Sneh and I became pals.

We went out together one day during Durga Puja, one of the main festivals in Bengal. We entered "The Roof Top Coffee Shop" at the end of the day, which was the most popular hangout spot for youngsters. We then got a pastry and two extra-creamy coffees for myself. We talked for about an hour. Suddenly, Sneh inquired about my ideal partner.

A child who frequently discussed Manchester United, Real Madrid, and the most recent iteration of Road Rash or Hit Man had an odd question. However, given that Sneh was involved, anything was imaginable. I responded with what I deemed to be a clever enough response."I want him to surprise me," she said.

Sneh calmly asked, "Shree, would you let me be the man of your dreams?" while holding my hand. He chose his words quite carefully. Additionally, "I was surprised yet again" comes to mind.

I was the more responsible, diligent, career-focused, and pragmatic of the two of us. I was also the more mature person. Maybe I had to be one due of the circumstances in my family. I came from a household that was lower middle class.
Early on, I understood that I would need to find employment after completing my studies in order to support my family.

On the other hand, Sneh came from a wealthy family. He had a wealthy businessman for a father.

Things were going along quite nicely when Sneh contacted me one day. He informed me that he had turned down his father's offer to send him to California for additional study since he couldn't live without me.
