I have a sneaking suspicion that Im Siwan is enjoying flexing his acting muscles by playing villains, as this is his second straight film in which he plays a psychopath. Overall, this is his third time playing an antihero, and he kills every time. And I have no complaints because he excels at it. In Unlocked, he delivered yet another memorable performance. Like the rest of the world, Na Mee (Chun Woo Hee) is obsessed with her mobile. She uses her phone for everything and posts her entire life on social media. After a stranger finds her smartphone on the bus, her life transforms from a dream to a nightmare. The main character in Unlocked (now available on Netflix) is paranoia, a Korean thriller from first-time director Kim Tae-joon in which a serial killer gets his sick kicks by wreaking havoc on his victims' lives before killing them. Previously, such individuals would simply throw their victims into a pit in the basement or slash them in dark alleyways, but modern technology not only brings the world to our literal fingertips, but also apparently provides unsound minds with a plethora of creative murder/torture options. So, let's see if the film serves as a cautionary tale or a metaphor. Na-mi (Chun Woo-hee) forgets her phone on the bus after a night of partying in the sleepy cyberthriller "Unlocked." Jun-yeong (Yim Si-wan) discovers it and returns it to her — only to discover that he is a methodical serial killer. He's determined to isolate Na-mi by first kidnapping her adoring father, then destroying her promising marketing job, and finally severing her bond with her best friend.

It's not an especially difficult task: He owns a phone repair shop and has hacked the device to spy on texts and notifications, overhear phone calls, and even use the camera. When Na-mi takes a selfie with her phone, it functions as a point-of-view shot. Kim Tae-joon, the director. Unlocked is based on Akira Shiga's novel and adapted from the Japanese film Stolen Identity. It follows smartphone-obsessed Na-Mi, who loses her phone after dropping it on the bus on her way home from a night out with friends. When a stranger discovers the phone, he gives it to her with spyware installed to track her every move. Na-life Mi's has been turned upside down as she and everyone close to her are at the mercy of this dangerous man's whims.

Woo-hee Chun (Be Melodramatic; Bong Joon Ho's Mother) plays Na-Mi, Si-wan Yim (Tracer, The King Loves) plays Jun Yeong, the dangerous stranger, and Kim Hee-won (The Man From Nowhere) plays police officer Ji Man. In the same way that smartphones and computers
