Even though science doesn't support these paranormal events, they have persisted throughout history. Here's take a look at some of the most frightening cases that can give you chills.
Where is it located? The place is on the outskirts of Cluj Napoca, on the northern border of Romania. It stretched across 250 hectares of Transylvania.
What's the story? The place is referred to as the "Bermuda Triangle of Transylvania" as it is said to be possessed by a supernatural force, or perhaps extraterrestrial beings.
The forest got into the limelight in 1968 when one military technician spotted and took pictures of an unidentified flying object(UFO), which was hovering above the forest. Since then, other incomprehensible events and strange paranormal phenomena have consistently been reporting, and the place later enlisted among the most haunted places on the planet.
Several stories come forth, as per nearby dwellers, a herdsman who took his 200 sheep in the dense and dark forest got vanished in the thin air of this jungle, and the shocking disappearance of a 5-year-old girl who suddenly showed up nearly five years later wearing the same clothes and without having aged even one day. The story was revised again after few years when one lady disappeared from the same place, but she brought a 15th-century coin in her pocket. Also, there have been scores of reports gathered from indigenous who have entered the forest, only to come out with injuries, severe bruises, rashes, pains, and running temperatures that they did not have before.
Some studies have unveiled the soil of this place recorded the presence of radioactivity which is higher than usual due to natural uranium occurrence beneath the surface of the ground.
Even the trees of Hoia Baciu forest itself hold a secret, as most of it twisted at the trunk or got irregular shapes. Most paranormal activities occurred in a specific part of the cover that has no sign of plantation and is shaped precisely a circle. On testing of this vegetation-free soil, no oddities were found that would stop the growth of any plant life.
