Hello There!!
Diversity is the beauty of nature. The universe is an abundance of mysterious grace of nature that made mankind wonder and fall in love over and over again with it since the beginning of the human race.
Here presenting you 7 breathtaking natural phenomena which all are well- known tourist attractions around the world.
1.Northers Lights (Aurora Borealis) | Norway
It is the natural display of light caused by the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind. The ionization and excitation of atmospheric constituents result in the emission of light that varies in colour and complexity.
2.Frozen Lake | Canada
The ethereal beauty of Canada's Lake Abraham is actually- methane gas trapped beneath the lake surface. How the gas has been formed is also a scary story. It is produced when the microorganisms feed on the decomposing organic matter within the water body.
3.Pink Lake | Australia
Lake Hillier, Australia got its astonishing pink colour from a higher concentration of salt and the energy emitted by microalgae. Once the saline concentration rise above sea level and required light and temperature conditions are achieved, the alga begins to accumulate red pigment which contributes to the pink hue in water.
4. Bioluminescent Sea | Maldives
The incredible view of sparkling light particles in the Mudhdhoo Island seashores of Maldives results from a phenomenon knows as bioluminescence. It is the production and emission of light from living organisms which is resulted from another phenomenon known as chemiluminescence, which is the conversion of chemical energy into radiant energy. Here in the Maldives, the organism responsible for the glow is sea planktons.
5.Turquoise Ice Lake | Russia
These Gem like ice formations are found in Russia's Lake Baikal. The lake is one of the world's oldest and largest freshwater lakes. The water is really clear so that, even 40 meters below the lake surface can be seen. The differences in sunlight, wind and temperature cause the ice to crack which produces a light effect in the turquoise shade.
6.Moonbow
When a rainbow is caused by the refraction of light from the sun through water droplets, a moonbow or lunar rainbow is caused by the refraction of light from the moon.
7.Mammatus Clouds
These breathtaking cloud formations are caused by a phenomenon which is, when the puffs of clouds are rising through the warm air, the cold air sinking downwards to form the pockets creates a lumpy or bubbly structure in clouds.
