Rashi Chowdhary, a well-known nutritionist, claims that excessive consumption of any macronutrient, not just fats, can lead to fatty liver.

Why does the liver get fatty? 

According to her, excessive sugar and carbohydrate consumption raises blood sugar levels and leads to non-alcoholic fatty liver. Most beverages, baked goods, sweets, and pastries include fructose as their primary sugar ingredient. The nutritionist claims that it is absorbed by the liver in a different way than conventional sugar and that it enters the liver to start "a series of complex chemical transformations." Because our liver is not designed to process fructose, it is processed in the small intestine. However, excessive fructose consumption overwhelms the small intestine and causes it to enter the liver, where it is transformed and stored as fat. Non-alcoholic fatty liver can result from this built-up fat.

You don't have to stop eating rice or roti if you want to prevent fatty liver; just be mindful of the portion size. The dietitian advises avoiding by switching to omega-3-rich cooking oils from less expensive vegetable cooking oils like sunflower and soybean. To ensure that you are getting enough of this nutrient, you can also choose to take a quality omega-3 supplement. The dietician suggests taking N-acetylcysteine, generally known as NAC, to treat fatty liver. She claims that the supplement promotes the production of glutathione, which she refers to as "one of the strongest detoxifiers". Green juice can also be consumed to eliminate toxins from the body and maintain a healthy liver. 

Cirrhosis can be caused by both alcoholic fatty liver disease and one type of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis). Cirrhosis-related health concerns can be treated by doctors with medications, surgeries, and other medical treatments. If your cirrhosis progresses to liver failure, you may require a liver transplant.
