An era come to it's end .we have lost one of the great personality of India. The legendary singer Lata Mangeskar also called as the Nightingale of Bollywood there was a magic in her voice ,in every age group there is a admirer of her .She passed away at the age of 92 years on 6th February 2022 in Breach Candy Hospital of Mubai.
she was born on 20th September 1929 iin Madhya Pardesh at Mageshi ,Her actual name was Hema Haridkar , later on her father changed her name from Hema to Lata Mangeskar at the name of the village Mageshi.
From the age of five years he began her training with her father who was a classical singer and stage actor, she recorded her first song at the age of 13 years. She was introduced to several composers like Aman Ali Khan, who trained her for several years. After the death of her father she began to work in film industry where initially she was dismissed by music directors by saying that her voice was too sharp and thin. After 1948 she gave dozens of hits in the industry.
Throughout her eight decades career She won various awards - She won her first Filmfare in the year 1958 for the song ‘Aaja re Pardeshi’ and won her national filmfare award in 1973 for the song Beeti Na Betai .
She also sang Aye mere Watan ke Logon, to inspire the people of the country after indo china war of 1962. After listening this song prime minister at that time Pandit Jawahar lal Nehru . He got emotional and tears spilled from his eyes .
She was awarded with Padam Vibhushan in 1999 and in 2001 she was given Bharat Ratna which is India's highest civilian award. She was awarded with Dadasaheb phalke Award in 1989. Guinness Book of records listed her for being most recorded performer in the history of Indian music. She was the first Indian to play in Royal Albert Hall. On her 90 th birthday on September, 2019, the Indian government honored her with the daughter of the nation award.
She was legend she sang her song in more than 36 languages Nearly 36,000 songs.
P. M. Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovind and other stars of the industry attended her funeral, there was large crowd gathered to pay their respect to Ms. Mangeskar. President Ram Nath Kovind said the news was "heart-breaking for me, as it is for millions the world over" and added that in her songs "generations found expression of their innermost emotions".

That day was very difficult for every indian. She will remain alive in our memories forever.
