It causes you to change your attitude, values and behaviour so as to remain in tune with your friends. It also causes you to change your response towards the world around you. It is a pressure that affects individuals of all genders and ages. It mostly happens in teenage years because it is the period that a person is most suspectable to be a pressure. When children enter the period, for the first time they actually become aware about people around them and realize the importance of perception in their interactions. Peer pressure is commonly associated with adolescent risk taking as children tend to enter in risky activities because of the influence of friends.
