Hello friends in my previous blog I talked about what is public relations and in today's blog we will be discussing about what is advertising. Public Relations is a part of advertising and advertising as well as selling are a part of a really big concept known as marketing. Often times  people confuse these terms to be one but they are very different terms while marketing is a really broad term and it starts before the product is even launched advertising is done after a product is launched with an aim to inform the general public about its presence in the market. Advertising is a very huge thing today. It is not only a very flourishing career but also highly rewarding profession. From TV ads to billboard hoardings and to newspaper pamphlets we can see advertising everywhere. Advertising is a catalyst for sales and it helps induce consumers to buy things from a business or a company. The term advertising has its roots from a Latin word ‘advertere’ and it means to turn the attention or to gain attention of someone. Every piece of an ad is prepared with an aim to gain attention of its leaders or listeners or the viewers. Therefore it is not wrong if we say that anything which is done to gain attention of people towards a product or a service is advertising. It is a process of giving information to public about a new or an existing business, good, service or a company. Advertising can be also called as salesmanship in print. It is what that motivates the world of business and is a technique to popularise a product. It is the force behind creating the demand of a product and finally getting its sold took the consumers. It is a message generally directed towards a mass audience with an intention to persuade them to buy a product or a service. It is a competitive act. In today's world where everything is generally online we can't expect to only advertise are goods and services on newspapers and videos Hence a new trend called digital marketing is emerging right now. Digital marketing is nothing but just marketing on the internet. It involves marketing a product on different social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram and many others. But as already said Advertising and Marketing are two different terms advertising is a part of marketing where is marketing is a really big term which starts before a product is launched.
